We’d like to invite you to the first ‘Cars, Bikes and Coffee’ morning at the Rudgwick Brickworks on Saturday September 1.
An informal gathering of sports and classic car and motorcycle owners between 10am and noon, the event will be hosted by Lightning Quarter Garage and our neighbours, Aston Martin restoration specialists Vantage Engineering.
As well as visiting LQG and Vantage Engineering you will be able to pass a relaxing morning chatting with fellow petrolheads about their vehicles and activities and hopefully make some new friends.
The on-site Milk Churn café will be open and serving its famous cheese-on-toast, made with the award winning ‘Sussex Charmer’ cheese made at the Brickworks from milk provided by the owners’ own herd of dairy cows. Not to mention really good coffee and tea, cakes and other snacks.
The Firebird micro-brewery shop and bar will also be open, with soft drink and takeaways for the drivers and a fully-stocked bar for passengers open from noon.
This first gathering will probably be low-key, but it’s planned to make it a regular event on the first Saturday of every month and build a base of regular participants over time. Now’s your opportunity to be there at the birth of something we hope will become a permanent fixture in the diary.
At the least it’s a great excuse to exercise your car or bike around the beautiful West Sussex countryside!
